Review of the film "The Sea of Temptation"

Baker Dill (Matthew McConaughey) loves fishing on his boat near Plymouth Island. At his leisure, he shines his naked torso, looks into a bar or to his mistress (Diana Lane) and wants to catch the "tuna of his dreams". In general, a person is satisfied with his life and work in the form of entertainment for tourists. But one day he is approached by ex-wife Karen (Anne Hathaway), who at one time abandoned Baker for a relationship with a billionaire (Jason Clarke). She complains about her abusive rich boyfriend (who unexpectedly turned out to be a sadist), and hires her ex as a hitman for a very decent sum. Over time, Dill realizes that this is a confusing and unpleasant case.

Despite the star cast (the main pool of actors is at least Oscar winners), the film failed to attract a wide audience. The fact is that it looks like an expressionless indie tape with psychological overtones. Matthew McConaughey, as the holder of the title of "The most overrated Actor" according to Forbes, could have signed up for a low-quality project more than once. Therefore, it is becoming more risky to rely on the presence of an idol in a film every day. In the end, the critics spread the "Sea of Temptation". And the translation of the original title "Serenity" leaves much to be desired.

At first, the feed seems very boring. Inside, the film dramatically changes the genre course. The viewer suffers in anticipation, and finally, the third act breaks it off with a banal and obvious message. The dialogues are absurd and insipid. The last enthusiasts are finished off by acting. During the viewing, it seems that the facial expressions of Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey were washed into the sea. They walk around the whole movie with stony expressions, sometimes raising their eyebrows or twitching their nerves. Matthew McConaughey does nothing but stare into the distance and sip a cigarette. Jason Clark performed the stereotypical pervert scoundrel. It is unclear how the director managed to achieve such amazing indifference, but he is definitely a pro at this.

"The Sea of Temptation" turned out to be very lazy and vague (confusion with genres exhausts the already short timekeeping). Neither the director, nor the screenwriter, nor the actors made proper efforts so that the viewer could enjoy the tape. Every element of the film is made "to get off." The film is not capable of evoking vivid emotions. The ending tries to explain this cardboard action according to a scheme similar to the "Source Code" and another very popular film with Jim Carrey. Only here the plot twists in their meaninglessness can compete only with Shyamalan. The director of The Sea of Temptation, Stephen Knight, definitely has something in common with him. The stated concept, along with its conventions, still does not justify the stupidity of the plot and the hack work of the actors. By demonstrating new technologies, Stephen Knight only devalues them with his conservative conclusions. In addition, it is impossible to undo the confusion of the narrative and the illogicality of the script with one maneuver. The denouement is not worth the audience's patience and the suffering endured for all the acts. Real free porn movies https://exporntoons.net online porn USA, UK, AU, Europe.
